The New York State DEC Annual Burn Ban is in effect March 16th through May 14th.
Wild fires can start easily during this time with the lack of green vegetation, abundance of dry grass and leaves, warm temperatures and wind.

Once the burn ban is lifted, you can get a burn permit from the Building Department for $5.
